The Lumecca IPL therapy is a powerful and effective treatment that reduces and removes specific pigments in the skin. It is particularly successful in removing age spots (red/brow pigmentation), sun damage, vascular lesions (spider veins, poikiloderma, port wine stains, leg telangiectasia, rosacea, freckles, acne scarring and melasma (hormonal pigmentation). This popular anti-aging treatment is a quick treatment with visible results after the first one or two sessions. Immediately after IPL treatment, skin will feel sensitive (almost like sunburn). Improvement is most noticeable within a week post-treatment.

IPL can be used on all areas of the body. The most common areas of treatment are zones that are regularly exposed to the sun. This often includes the Hands, Arms and Legs.
An improved skin appearance can be noted even after the first session. Multiple sessions provide better results.
Treatment regime depends on the severity of skin damage, skin type, type of treatment (vascular vs sun damage) and energy settings tolerated.

Acne occurs when your hair follicles become plugged with oil and compromised skin cells. IPL heats up the hair follicles to destroys the acne-causing bacteria on the skin. IPL also destroy the skin cells that cause acne’s uneven pigmentation to give you a brighter, more even-toned skin.
Acne can affect people from all ages, with breakouts, oily skin and blackheads. (Ages 14 - 30+)
A typical treatment plan for treating mild to moderate acne is typically done as a course of 3-4 treatments with two-to-four-week intervals between treatments.

Sensation: The feeling is often compared to little hot pinches or the snap of an elastic band against the skin. This feeling is usually brief and subsides quickly after each pulse.
Downtime: Immediately after an IPL photo facial, your skin may look and feel like you have a sunburn. This feeling should go away within a few hours, although some redness may last for a few days. You may see some of your hyperpigmented spots become darker, but only temporarily. They will peel away painlessly within a few weeks.
Daily use of a sunscreen is very important along with a tyrosine-inhibitor.
When working with laser devices, there is a potential risk of thermal injury, such as a burn or blistering. If such an injury occurs, please contact the salon as soon as possible so we can offer prompt guidance and support to ensure proper and effective healing.
Result: IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments offer various skin improvements, including reduced pigmentation, improved skin tone and reduced redness. Results typically become visible within a few weeks, with full effects appearing over several months. Additionally, IPL can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen production.
